I want to apply disco dust to some gum paste bows. I assume that I should let the gum paste bows dry for several days prior, right? Do I paint them with vodka then sprinkle with disco dust? Or, is there another way to apply the disco dust to gum paste decorations?
Worried about the gum paste getting sticky.

I don't paint my gumpaste flowers. I use non toxic pastel chalks (since mine are never intended to be eaten) and dust them with a paint brush, then steam them to set the color

That is exactly how I apply disco dust. Just apply a thin layer of vodka using a paint brush then dip your brush into the disco dust and dab it on the moistened area of your bow, or whatever you want to put it on. icon_smile.gif
