Any ideas on how to make a giant bagel cake? Sounds simple but scary to a non-carver. It needs to be an everything bagel and I don't have an airbrush.

How big does the cake have to be...

If you used a tube pan pan you wouldn't have to carve much.

Here's a photo from the CC galleries:

That's a cute idea and a cute cake! I have never even thought about making a bagel cake.

I am also making a bagel cake for my daughters 16th birthday tomorrow. She loves everything bagels with swiss cheese and tomato's. I was thinking about using the ball pan and then add a hole and do some carving but maybe a bundt pan would be better seeing as it is the general shape already complete with the hole. Good luck tomsmom .. I hope it works out and I hope you post a pic icon_smile.gif

Thanks Jan. The cake needs to feed 45 people. I like the idea of the one in the pic. Only maybe flip the top part over so you can tell it's an everything bagel. I don't think a tube pan would give me enough cake to feed everyone.

Thanks for the help!
