I'm making a cake where I need to stack 3 2" cakes on top of each other to form the cake. Should I be using extra support between the 2nd and 3rd layer? I've seen some threads on here that discuss using support every 6", but wanted to make sure...I certainly don't want a squashed cake.

TIA for your help.

I have stacked 3 high without support. If it's 4 high, I will put support between 2 and 3 but not if it's 3 high. I haven't had a problem but others might have more input.

I would think that's the same as a 3 layer cake and should be fine without support.
