i don't want to sound like the thread police, but holy crap, folks! Below are the threads I found (most/all started today) asking "where are the pics?" Do we really need EIGHT different threads (and there may be more ... who knows?) asking where the photos went?

If it looks like a technical problem, can we search the Technical Support FOrum to see if anyone has reported it yet? Can we click on "view all posts since your last visit" to see how many OTHER threads there are on the the subject first?

Can we not go into panic attacks and ASSUME they've just all been deleted (which is such an ILLOGICAL assumption when you consider the purpose of CC to start with, that I don't EVEN know how that thought pops into anyone's head!)

So can we just sit back, calm down, check the Technical Forums to see current status of issues ..... and stop jumping to illogical conclusions?

I'll leave this one in General, since it does provide links and refer members to the correct forum.

I was one that started one of them posts and i am sorry! I didnt have time at the very moment to search for the other threads i just thaught that i would throw out a thread hoping to get some answers.......so again i am sorry for jumping ahead of the game and thinking the worst......

I'm sorry, I started one of the posts. But last night was the very first time that I had any pictures on here, so of course when I didn't see them tonight, I just figured I had done something wrong and was wondering if anyone knew what it was. Oooops!

Holy Hannah - that's a lot of threads about the same subject!

My apologies...and thank you indi for directing me where I need to go....I figured it was technical, and wondered if anyone knew anything...just in a panic, 'cause I needed one pic in particular and now I'm a little lost... sorry if I added to any ongoing issue!

when i first signed on-reason being my cousin wanted to see the cake i made last week-end and all my photos were gone, i admit it i hyperventelated a bit. then i went to look in fav photos and they were gone, i was like help me off the floor. but once i researched i found a post by jackie and i felt the blood coming back into my head.
than i had to laugh at myself because i cant believe how crazy i got about my cake photos. i do wish them luck on the task they have in front on them.
its just funny the ONE time i wanted/needed to show someone a cake it wasnt there.

C'mon Debi. Ya need the pic to post so you can ask how much to charge. Sheeesh thought you would know that by now.

I learned a long time ago to save all my cake photos and favorite photos from CC onto my hard drive as well as on CC. I even have them backed up on a external hard drive so if one thing goes down I always have it somewhere else. I do the same thing for my favorite recipes from this site. Saves a lot of headaches.

i don,t think anyone needs to apologize to anyone on this site for more threads. i am on this site every day. i see threads after threads of the same question.. if i am wrong.. please let me know.. what ever the question is.. we answer and direct them to the right threads.. right?

icer, you are correct, threads are duplicated frequently, but this one was an excessive one..... at the time I started this thread, I counted 8 threads, all started on the same day, within hours of each other, asking "where are the pics?" On top of that, folks were getting pi$$y and mad and accusing CC of DELETING the pics, which is a really silly assumption when you consider the whole purpose of CC anyway.

As of this posting, I went to the Technical Forum and counted 22 different threads asking "where are the pics?"

It's kinda of like when you have your pricing posted in black and white right on your website but you get 22 calls in one day asking "how much are your cakes? How much are your cakes? How much are your cakes?"

In the words of Popeye, "I takes it until I can't takes it anymore!"

Apparently, it won't be the last thread on the subject....<sigh> A new one is at the top of the General forum as I type.

Jackie has stated that she is working on the problem. Your cake photos still exist.

PLEASE DO NOT RELOAD your photos. Some people are reloading their missing photos. Please don't do this. It will only make a mess of the galleries.

And I agree, everyone should make a habit of checking the tech support forum before posting a thread or panicking when something on the site is not working. My inbox was overloaded with messages from panicked members that a quick check of the tech support forum could have avoided.

Am also locking this thread, so that Kathy's important info isn't lost in a sea of responses.
