ok Im sorry to ask this because Im sure every one has seen this question a million times. I see it asked a lot but never view becuase I dont normally make cream cheese frosting, well I have to now this week.
so many conflicting answers online out there about this, I wanted to get it from the experts
does it need to be refridgerated?
thanks
I just asked this SAME question on thursday and was told no it would be fine and guess what? It's Monday nite and I ate two cupcakes today and the frosting is fine. I used Indydebi's recipe for crusting buttercream and substituted 1/3 cup of shortening with 1/3 cup of cream cheese. It's delish.
Like mentioned it depends on the recipe. Personally, whether or not the recipe is to be refrigerate, I still refrigerate it just to make sure.
Try the recipe from designmeacake.com, I love Edna's cream cheese buttercream.
