Has anyone frozen a fondant covered cake that's been painted? Does it run when it defrosts?
If it's feasible: what's the best way to wrap, freeze and defrost?
TIA!

I don't think fondant that's already on a cake freezes well - decorated or undecorated. Maybe someone else has tried this and can comment.

I have never done it...but I would think you would have a sticky gooey mess when it dethaws...I always make my fondant covered cakes fresh...they will last a couple of days with out refrigeration (barring you don't use a perishable filling) but I am still pretty new at this too

hopefully someone more skilled and experienced will give some advice.
