Just saw the infomercial for the Slice scrapbooking machine. Looks interesting. Since we know Cricut works well with gumpaste and stiffened fondant, I was wondering if anyone owns the Slice and has used it with gumpaste or fondant?

Haven't seen it?? Here's the link:

I just checked out the site. If I had a choice I would go with cricut over slice. I am looking at the silhouette vs the cricut but have not make a decision.

The slice machine is really cute and portable but it does not have the same functionality as the cricut. You are supposed to hold the slice cutter in place the entire time it is cutting.

It also does not look like it can cut heavier materials and would probably be only good for rice paper or frosting sheets. If you made a lot of cookies or cupcakes it probably would be perfect for those purposes.
