I am doing a cake honoring a pianist. I'm looking at doing a grand piano which will be covered in fondant. Any ideas on how to get that clear coat polished look on the black fondant? Thank you so much...this is a big venture for me! I appreciate the advice of you pros icon_smile.gif

Paint the fondant with black icing color mixed with vodka. It will give it a dark shiny look. If you want a really glassy shine, you can use confectioner's glaze.

a bit of corn syrup will also help it shine.
