Hi, I'm baking an 11x15 sheet cake to feed 30 people. I baked two separate layers and each came out a little under an inch in height. I added a filling and I only seem to have about 2" in height. Is this the standard to get 30 slices out of an 11x15?
Should I bake another inch layer?
Any help would be appreciated- I haven't done sheet cakes before!
my 11x15 cake pan.... is 2" high.. i only bake one layer... this size feeds up to 35 people.. i don,t bake 2 layers.. that would feed more. i don,t torte and fill them .. unless asked to.. again, i bake one layer.. to feed 35 people. hth
so I guess it's okay?
Thanks! Don't feel like baking again right now!
yes, you are ok.. your cake will serve up to 35 people..
