I have been asked to do cupcakes for a wedding. I 've never done them before for a wedding. I charge $3 to $5 a serving for a wedding cake. how do I charge for cupcakes? Im not sure of the design yet, I just got an e-mail asking if I could do cupcakes instead of a wedding cake and they wanted some price info. I dont know what to tell them. TIA

A lot of people charge the same amount for a cupcake and a slice of cake.

Here are the reasons -
1. A cupcake is actually bigger than a serving of cake.
2. They are more time consuming to make and to decorate.
3. They are hard to transport.

Thank you! I do feel like it will be the same amount of work if not more.

I charge 2.75 per cupcake, and I do not think its the same amount of work. Cupcakes are so much easy than wedding cakes.

Unless you get crazy with the decorations.
