Ok, I have probably been watching too much Ace of Cakes but I am making a cake for Saturday and the theme is word world. I would like to make a short recording spelling out Happy Birthday and the name but I am not sure what to use. I have checked at a hobby store, radio shack and Michael's for something similar to what you can record in a greeting card. And some photo frames will have the capability. Any ideas?

Buy the Hallmark card and tear out the little recording device.

Try a scrapbooking place. I purchased a couple of these when my son was in Iraq and sent them: the family singing happy birthday was a BIG hit!

Thank you both. I actually thought about ripping it out of a card but was hoping someone might have a more "sophisticated" idea. Lol. Not that you are not sophisticated Leah. I will check the scrapbooking store tomorrow. Thanks again to you both.

You might be able to buy one at a Build-A-Bear type place.

Leah_s's idea may be the better solution! It might be less expensive. I think the ones I bought were about $8 each...but that was 4 years ago.

Thank you. There is a Hallmark store right next to the scrapbooking store. So I can compare the prices.
