Is there enough customers looking to put pictures on cakes to make having an edible image copier necessary? My personal preference is that these cakes look cheap and like something from the grocery store but I am sort of willing to do what customer demand makes necessary.

I got one..... but not to do pict cakes (I don't care for them either), but I like to use it to make patterns for cookies and cakes that I can't make by hand. I used it for my Christmas cookies and really like how they turned out. I feel like it has been well worth the cost.

I think it depends on your business. I'd love to have one, but have only had about 2 customers request something that would require an edible image.

I'm with thecookieladycc - it can look cheap, but again it depends on how you use it. Here's how I used it once. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kreacioneskity/3798435321/in/set-72157621427449465/
