I am going to try my first edible images and was planning to apply the sheet to a piece of fondant as a pattern. Does anyone have any experience doing this? What tips and suggestions do you have to share?

Please note that after I apply the pattern to the fondant, I plan to cut shapes with small cutters and allow them to harden, (in case this make a difference in your suggestions) to be used as cupcake toppers.

You can do it 3 ways! Basically, it just needs the "glue" to adhere it to the fondant. You can use water, just spray it on or paint it on with a paint brush to the fondant, then apply the image.
Another way is to paint on corn syrup. I have not done this method, but I have heard about it.
The third way is crisco. If you use the crisco, it will allow you to move it a bit.

My favorite way is with water, but be careful not to get the printed side of hte image wet.
