Candle Cake Instructions...

can anyone help with the in's and out's of the candle cake... not sure about the sides that look melted... what do I do first?? thanks therese

looks to me like they're just small round cakes stacked up and covered in fondant usually and then have melted colored choc. to match the candle color to "drip" down the sides. Make sure and carve or cut out (small cookie cutter is useful) the center of the top cake layer to allow for a real tea light candle to be placed inside. HTH

thanks.. but how do you get it to look like the candle has melted a bit.. where the edges are higher up.. I hope you can follow... lost my words.. I would like to show you a picture.. not that talented yet, can't figure out how to attach a picture.. my kid's would be really proud.. ha,ha..
