Can anybody give me instructions on making a 1800 tequila bottle cake or hennessey even. I would like to do a stand up one. Thanks!
I've only made it once. It's a trapezoid (sp) shape. I used rkt for the top and neck of the bottle. HTH

Cakemadam 21, sorry I can't put my hands on the photo right now but pm me and I'll be looking. I started with 2- 9 by 13 sheets, 3 inch deep. I cut off 1/3 of the length, put it aside, cut off about 2 inches more than the 1/3 of the second sheet. Stacked the two pieces after icing, dowelled the two layers, cut board half inch smaller than the top layer on all sides. Put on the first piece you cut off, add the second cut piece and dowel. Each piece should be centered to the last layer. Then start triming to the shape of a trapezoid, (sort of a rectangle but smaller at the top than the bottom. It's a good idea to have the bottle to compare as you trim. I usually ask the customer to bring a bottle which saves a lot of time and guess work. I shaped the neck and top from rkt and covered with butter cream. I hope this helps.
