So, I'm doing my first firetruck next week, and I'm nervous. I've seen all the pictures on this site, and it seems doable, but I'm still nervous. I think it's because it's my first "carving" cake, and the person is paying for it. I don't want to mess this up. Any advice out there? The cake will be covered in buttercream since it's for small children. I will be doing the windows and accents in fondant/gumpaste though.

I don't think I will be able to fit this cake into my fridge or freezer. I just realized that. It's going to be the 12x18" sheet cut into half.
