This is a Ron Ben-Israel cake that a bride is asking for. Any ideas on how this was done? It looks like the tiers with the gray piping are sized differently - the white part larger than the lower gray. Is that right?

I think the tiers you are referring to are the same size from top to bottom. The white part just appears bigger because of the strong color contrast....its almost like an optical illusion. That's my best guess anyway. HTH!

I'm betting that the gray part is not cake.
