My dh's cousin's dd will be turning 1 on Christmas day, They do not live around here, so if they come up around the holidays I want to offer a cake for her b-day, since I wouldn't have to trasport it as far as they would. I would like to have ideas in mind to suggest before I offer.
what would be some good ideas for her cake, nothing Christmas-y, also something that can be done on a small cake (maybe 8 inch round) since there will be so many other sweets around that time, her dad is an avid hunter and her mom loves Disney.
I would also like something simple to moderate in difficulty since my ds will be turning 3 a few days before Christmas.

Here are a couple of cute ideas from the gallery...there are tons more, just search for disney cakes or smash cakes

I just made a cute 1 year old cake - just buttercream with polka dots and the child's name on the front. Then I did a "big cupcake" 2nd teir for the smash cake. I like the smash cake to be a part of the "real cake" rather than separate. I'm silly like that.
