Hi all,

I'd like to purchase a steamer to make my fondant cakes nice and shiny, and "set" my gumpaste flowers. Can anyone recommend a particular brand they like, which doesn't sputter water all over?

Thanks!

I love the hand held one that I own--My Little Steamer by Joy Mangano.

I got it from Ebay for cheap and it's super. It holds a nice amount of water and the steam is very consistent and gentle--no spitting or spurting.

I just got one at CVS. Paid $20 and got $10 extra bucks.
I just tried it on some flowers, works great!
I think the brand is Emerson, and I think the sale runs until Monday.

I have a small Conair steamer. I bought it at Target a couple years ago for around $25. It works great!

Thanks so much for your post! I had a Conair one from Wal-Mart that never really worked well and just crapped out. I will be heading to CVS shortly.
