How do I get powder sugar completely off fondant esp the dark colors they always look dusty when Im done.....Ive heard of using a steamer and vodka spray....What do you all do to make your fondant so clean and clear after the cake is done?

Thank you

Use Vodka with a paint brush.

I roll mine out using crisco, not powdered sugar or cornstarch so it ends up shiny and clean. Hope that helps!

You ball up a piece of scrap fondant and lightly brush it off with that.
The fondant to fondant contact will remove the PS. icon_smile.gif

I roll out in Corn Starch but when done, I go over dark colors with a thin film of Crisco - either with a brush or a make-up sponge.

I give it a crisco bath (learned this trick from Sugarshack's DVD's). Anyway, you just take a paper towel and dip it in crisco. Rub the crisco all over the cake. Then come back with a clean paper towel and remove the excess crisco. Makes it super shiny and it removes powdered sugar or cornstarch.
