I have a friend that wants a fashion party theme cake in black, white and pink. She wants very little fondant and doesn't want a purse.
I'm using a 10 in round 3 layers. I want to keep it simple, but very elegant looking. I think I will surprise her and put a gumpaste shoe on top, but not sure what else to do.
Any suggestions?
TIA

How about a shoebox with gumpaste tissue paper coming out since you are putting a shoe on it?

I thought about that and would love it, but I'm not sure I'm experienced enough yet to do a shoebox cake. I guess just looking at it they seem very difficult. Are they!

What about cut-outs of different styles of dresses? I love this cake-- not sure how to post it. It's a bridal shower, but you could still take ideas from it.

Here's a Paris themed fashion cake I made. Maybe you could do something like the bottom tier.

Love that idea and that ties in with what you said "makeminepink", thanks! icon_smile.gif
How did you do the dress and other shapes? Are they done by hand or is there some type of cookie like cutter that I would use?

I wish I had done that cake, but it's in my favorites. You could look and see who posted it and send her a message. I'm betting she might have cut out a shape in cardstock and cut around it. Just guessing. There are cookie cutters in the shape of women's dresses though. Good luck! icon_smile.gif

Your guitar is AWESOME and really hard to do. I think the shoe box will be a breeze for you. icon_biggrin.gif

I printed out clip art, laid on my fondant and cut around it.
