Stupid Converting Question!

when a recipe says 2 (8 oz) pkgs, does it mean 2 8 oz packages, or 8 oz all together?

16 oz total

It means 16 ounces, total.

It calls for 2 packages which are 8 ounces each, so you need a total of 16 ounces.
