I need to make a small dancer on top of my cake. I am already planning on making her out of modeling chocolate, but how do I add the detail to her face and make clothes for her? Do I start out with a flesh color sculpture and then add the clothes onto her? Do I make each piece seperately and add them onto her as I go?
I am eager to try something new and could use some guidance!

I can't say I have an answer, I've wondered thta myself. What concerns me about making the person, then dressing them, is the thickness... I wonder if the clothes will be too thick. I guess you could make very skinny people.

I just made my first 3D figure with modelgin chocolate and will never go back to making something in 3D with fondant.

That said, it was a real paint to make fondant, gumpaste, icing and the modeling chocolate. Oh, yeah, and the cake, too.

Please, please post what you made here and good luck- I'll be eagar to follow the posts.
