I want to make some cupcakes for the drama club competition and I would like to make something with the comedy/tragedy masks but am having a hard time transferring that into cupcakes. I don't have any sort of cutouts for that. I have decided to just do stars in the school colors but does anybody have any suggestions on the masks? If I decide to do something for them again later in the year? Thanks.

I like your idea of doing the comedy/tragedy masks. what about a white circle background that covers the entire top of the cupcake, then the mask, in black, on top? The masks are kind of oval shapes (in a broad sense!) aren't they?
Good luck!

So would you just pipe them on? or cut them out of fondant?

Oh! I think the masks would be awesome on top of the cupcakes! Good choice. What about doing the masks in color flow? After those babies dry, pipe a small swirl on the cupcake and pop them on top. Super cute!
