How do I keep my raisins from sinking in my carrot cake? Tossing them with flour doesn't work...
This is what I do, toss them in flour, then lay them on a plate or something flat, use a seive and put more flour over them. Set it aside until I am finished making my batter, usee both hands and toss them to remove excess flour, take a small amount od batter - hand fold raisins in there - then, hand fold that bit of batter to the larger portion. Do not overwork/ fold the batter.
They should not sink. If they do batter is maybe too thin.
