Hi,

I'm making some gumpaste blossums for a friend interstate and was wondering how to pack and post them so they wont break enroute?

The flowers I order from distributors have thin pieces of foam sponge material stuffed between the flowers and the leaves. They make a cut from the side to the middle of the square of foam, then push the stem through the cut so the bottom of the flower is completely cushioned.

Then they're wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in stiff cardboard boxes.

Even with all the care that's taken in packaging, there's always a chipped petal or leaf, so be sure to make and pack extras.

Thks Diane,

The ones im sending are basically just flat blossoms no stems involved. I have both thin sponge and buble wrap at home, so i'll try it out.

cheers
