How Do I Make A Frosting Turkey? Help!!
Decorating By sheilasite Updated 18 Nov 2009 , 1:34am by andpotts
Hi - I was asked to make a thanksgiving/autumn cake for
a friend and i was thinking of great fall colors, but she also
asked that I put a turkey on it for Thanksgiving dinner.
Does anyone have any easy (key word easy - I am a novice at this)
ideas on how to make a frosting turkey or some other edible
turkey design?
Thanks!!
Sheila
I'm gettting ready to do one tomorrow (will bake tonight). Since it's for a big group, I'm just going to do a sheet cake and try a FBCT turkey - just find a good coloring book turkey to copy! I've done a semi e-dimensional one before (some good pics on here) but I wasn't thrilled with my results.
http://www.shavkin.com/pipetur.html This is what I would do if I were asked to figure pipe a turkey. I just love the way it looks and while I haven't tried it yet, it honestly doesn't look that hard if you're even remotely comfortable with figure piping.
I found this video. HTH

Thanks so much for all of these ideas! I love them, now which to choose...
Happy Thanksgiving!

What a great little tutorial, I love step-by-step pictures! Thank you, I didn't even know I was looking for this until I saw it Andrea
