Hey guys! I need an off the hook chocolate icing recipe. I want to take mine up a notch. Anybody have a tried and true chocolate, dark chocolate, or ganache recipe that is a big winner for you or someone you know?
Toba Garrett's chocolate icing recipe is very good, it has chocolate ganache and chocolate liquer in it. Very yummy!!!!
A fan fave at my house is the Baker's Chocolate One Bowl Chocolate Frosting recipe. You can google it to find it online. Super easy, and it tastes like homeade fudge.
I have to second MissRobin! Toba's recipe is amazing! It's my go to chocolate icing recipe! It makes a lot of icing, but can be halved. I don't think I can post the recipe here, so here's a link to the recipe:
Here's the ganache recipe:

The one I use is well-liked around my neck of the woods (and very easy too).
2 sticks butter
6 heaping tbsp. cocoa powder
2 lbs. powdered sugar
thin with Vanilla Caramel liquid coffee creamer
It is good enough to eat with a spoon.
I like the Hershey's Cocoa recipe with butter. Who knows chocolate better than Hershey!
i can (and do very often) eat this with just a spoon. it's DELICIOUS!
I also use Toba Garrett's recipe. It is wonderful!
I vote for Toba's too.....absolutely amazing. Use really good chocolate!
This is the recipe I use and I love it!
Toba Garretts for sure. Its well worth the time.
