I've been asked to make a joint 80th birthday cake for my Nan and her partner and i have no idea how to decorate it!! The cake is for around 40 people sp i was thinkings a 2 tier lemon cake with a raspberry mousse filling with buttercream frosting (cant use fondant as my nan hates the taste). Any ideas would be great!! thanks

Welcome to CC xmeganx! You could do edible images of them to put on the cake.

If they are delicate little old ladies - Yellow icing with pink flowers... White icing with pink and lemon yellow scrolls... White with candied lemon peel shreds and small pink sugar hearts... Pink and yellow flowers, balloons, or butterflies...

Either type would probably like a tropical theme with pink and yellow hibiscus.
