How To "paint" On Royal Icing?

Hi!

So i want to do some detailing, and i dont have the fod pens yet (on my xmas list)

So how would I paint on the RI?

Should I use Straight gel, or should I delute it?

Dilute your gel color with vodka so that it is the consistency of water, and paint away using a delicate touch and not picking up too much liquid on the brush.

thanks!, i think im out of vodka, can i use the lemon extract? or just lemon juice?

You can use lemon extract.

Can you use liquid food coloring (like airbrush colors) instead of thinning out the gel?
