I'm doing a cake this weekend for a 40th birthday and have already cut out some of the fondant pieces to go on the side of the cake. I want to pipe details on them, but want to be sure the piping will stick to the fondant cutouts that are nicely drying.

Also, when I go to stick them on my cake (also fondant covered) is moistening the back with a little water still the best way to get fondant to stick to fondant? TIA!

I'm excited about this cake ... will post pictures this weekend!

In my opinion, BC goes on BC and RI goes on fondant.

You could use water or anything else to glue your fondant pieces together. I use vanilla because it makes the cake smell wonderful.

Good luck!
