I used the Global Sugar Art "how much fondant do I need" calculator and it said to cover an 11x15 sheet (2 in high), I would need 60 oz of fondant! That is nearly 4# of that possible? That seems like an awful lot......I'm covering a guitar that measures 10x13 at it's biggest measurement..........just wondering if I'll need more (I have a little over 3# in that color....SatinIce). What's your opinion? Thanks! icon_smile.gif

Sounds right. If you check the Wilton's chart they say the same thing. It's one of the reasons fondant cakes cost more....extra product and time working with it.

I'm sure their chart is generous...just so you don't run out, but....this really depends on how thick you put the product on, too.
