Or is there another economical substitute? When I watched a video by tonedna she used one that I saw no holes or slits cut but have not found that online. Is that just the flipe side of the board?

The large & small grey cel boards are flat on one side and have grooves on the other side.

I love my cel board. I know when I've rolled my paste nice and thin because I begin to see the darker dots in the material and for wired petals and leaves, you can't beat the grooved side for providing the channels for the wires.

I'd be lost without it.

i use my cel board all the time, so yes i think its worth the money. i have the small board and wish at times i had the larger one but get along fine with the smaller one and can't justify buying another.

Sooooooo worth it! You don't have to get a big, fancy, expensive one if, like me, you don't make lots of flowers or leaves. It's so much easier to wire them with the cell board that it's worth investing in one.

Thanks, I guess it's going on my wish list. Thank goodness it's close to the holidays! Now I just need to figure out which airbrush to get...
