IndyDebi you are just too funny...and no, I don't have the heart to break this news to Martha! I can just imagine what she'd have to say on this topic! LOL!
And, yes, my wedding was an ocean theme in Monterey so a blue cake fit right in...I'd imagine you'd find a lot of blue cakes in ocean themed weddings?

My coffee cup is blue--the one I use every morning.
My home is mostly pale shades of BLUE and White - so your cup matches -
You must bring it when you come visit Blue in her Blue and White home next to the Blue Indian Ocean - under the Southern Cross in the Bright Blue sky.
Thank you for the sweet invite! I have two blue cups so I'll bring one for you too.

WOOOHOOOO - we might get a little bit of *Memphis* - *Down Under*
Just a little back on topic - was speaking (emailing) to someone in Germany over the weekend (who actually was born and raised in France) -and mentioned this very subject - after the histerics died down - they suggested that those who believe that the French *don't do blue* should atually speak to a French Caker - not someone who goes by the name of Jean Claude - because a French sounding name and a bakers hat don't make you french.
So for all of us who *do Blue* rejoice - we are not only caking in the 21st century - but, up there with the *Cake trend setters* - those being greater Europe of course.
Bluehue.
and so there were no more Dr. Who tardis cakes
LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL - now that is a quick wit - i like it

Sad but true
Bluehue
And I checked the websites of the French bakers who are local to me, and there was blue on each one. So I have no idea who told the girl that. Can't blame the French for it, though!
Y'know along the French line of thinking--I mean France is where Cordon Bleu comes from--that term is from a blue scarf, necktie dealio that has further historical and religious significance. So there not totally opposed to 'blue' and 'food'.
It is always so much fun to generalize!
Everyone needs at least one good sweeping generalization to make it through the day. And a few good rationalizations don't hurt, either.
