Hi! I am going to try to make a Thanksgiving turkey cake and cover it in fondant. I would like to use spice cake. Will this be strong enough to hold fondant? Thanks!

Depends on your recipe. A WASC version would be.

i used the heavenly pumpkinspice cake recipe found on here and it held up well to fondant

Thanks! I will try out the heavenly pumpkin spice recipe. I had originally been thinking of the boxed spice cake mix but this sounds great!

I have covered a spice cake in fondant; from a box. It was the same as any other cake. I usually add an extra egg for density.
