Which one is better? icon_smile.gif I want to make one of these for my brother's birthday.

I know they both have high ratings. Compare and contrast them for me please! icon_smile.gif

I've made the Darn Good but not the Amazing. I've also made the Epicurious Double Chocolate cake, the Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate, and others I can't recall. Still the best one (for my personal tastes, which is: the chocolatier the better) is the Scott Clark Woolley Fudge Brownie Cake. Recipe is here on p3 of the Hershey's thread http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopic-52587-30.html. Of course everyone has their own personal preference, but no matter how many new "fantastic" recipes I've tried, it always comes back to this one.

Also here is a great thread comparing a selection of scratch-baked chocolate cakes. http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=639593&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=scratchoff&&start=0

I prefer the Amazing over the Darn Good. I could not get the Darn Good cooked in the center without burning the rest, and I cooked at low temp with bake even strips.

Just my experience.
