what would be a politically correct type of cake for an ex-father in law's memorial service. The family is catholic, and I would like to make them something that would be in good taste and meaningful. any ideas, I understand this would be a little bit on the sensitive side....help please....

I thought that maybe cupcakes done in chocolate with chocolate frosting and white chocolate poured crosses standing up on the cupcakes, but I would also like to do something in a cake too????? help
