Have you seen the ads for Christmas toys lately?
There is a kids make-n-bake Candy shop! For $24.99, I'll be able to make my own edible diamonds and jewels without worrying about a candy thermomemter and scalding myself, lol (I'm not a candy maker, obviously).

Just thought it was a cool new tool to check out - I haven't gone to the store and read the box yet...

Do you know the actual name for it? I tried a google using what you wrote, but there's nothing coming up for me.

Thanks -

That sounds right up my alley!!!! I would like to "dabble" with sugar....and the kid's department sounds where I want to go to do this! I'm going to keep my eyes open for this! Thanks!

Yup, Walmart has it. But I saw it for 29.99. If anyone buys it, let me us know how it works, thanks!

I found this:

"Girl Gourmet Sweets Candy Jewel Factory Oven"

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3504404

but I couldn't find a pic of what they look like when they're made.

I don't think this will give you the shapes that you want. Be sure to check out the link from Jaimelt76.

Looking at the photos, I do not see that you can make anything more than pendants. You would have to make your own molds from silicone and use colored sanding sugar with the unit.

The item got really bad reviews. It doesn't seem to work well at all according to what the customers said.
