I recently made navy blue fondant-- as I recall, I started with brown first and then added royal blue and Americolor's Navy gel...eventually it came out perfect--I wish I had written down the exact "recipe" icon_smile.gif

I also have used Americolor's NAVY color. It will darken over time, so make your icing or fondant ahead of time and let it sit. I used it on my Yankees graduation cake, and remember freaking out and sending out a "911 post" for help, that it wasn't dark enough...it did indeed darken as other CC'ers said it would. It actually looked darker in person than in the pic. icon_smile.gif Good luck!
