Newbie here...Ive been watching a lot of shows and testing recipes etc. Is it better to use cake rings vs. cake pans? If so, what type of cake sheet pan do I use to cut them out of and where do I get them?

I defininently like the idea of using the cake rings vs. the pan but just wanted to know what some other peoples thoughts were...

Also what are some good pans that last a long time? Ive been getting the wilton pans at Micheals but didnt know if there was somthing better.

Any information will help! Thanks!

I have started using the Magic Line cake rings and will use them over pans everytime. I find that I don't have to use parchment paper rounds, etc to line the bottom and there are no risks of sticking. I also get a dual use and I use them for poured sugar bases. Just my preferance.
