Is there a crusting cream cheese recipe out there? I have seen a few cream cheese icing out there, but dont know if it is crusting or how smooth it is. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated, looking for a great one to do on a cake tomorrow.

There is one in the recipe section that is called "crusting". Just uses tons of PS. Do a search in the recipe section. HTH.

Here's a link to an amazing crusting cream cheese icing on here. It works just like buttercream.

I used this icing on this cake:

Sorry to hijack your post. I assume the creamcheese icing cake would have refrigerated? Also if I'm mixing a little strawberry jam to BC to make a filling would that need to be refrigerated? Thanks and sorry again for the hijacking!

Well here is a statement from the person who posted the recipe on here:

"I frosted the wedding cake 1 day before the wedding and it held up fine. I understand that the powdered sugar helps to stabalize it. We refrigerated the few remains." - aztomcat

I did the same thing as her and it worked great! Hope that helps
