Hi everyone. I was wondering what type of cake i should use to make a double tiered cake. I am making a friday the 13th cake and it will need to be dense in order to take the weight of the decorations. I am going to use dowel to strengthen the second tier but im guessing the actual cake will need to be more than a sponge or basic vanilla cake???

What do you mean a double tiered cake? If I am making a tall cake then I use wooden dowels and cake circles inslde the tier for support.
Any cake you like will be ok.
