I'm sure this is a dumb question, but here goes. I am making a bridal shower cake for tomorow, it is a 12 in. and 9 in. stacked. It seams really heavy and I am wondering if I should wait until tomorow to stack them. I have 5 of the plastic dowels in and plan to put a wooden through the center when stacked. My fear is that if I stack and take it to the church today, which is what they want, that when they get to the shower tomorow something will have happened, saging or red fondant decorations bleeding. Sorry this got so long.

It should be just fine. I normally stack my cakes the day before they are due. If you don't feel comfortable doing so, then wait. You just have to make sure that you have a good support system.

Thank you for the reply, I think I will feel more comfortable waiting, I have only stacked one cake before and it was right before the wedding.
