Hi All!

I want to make a strawberry cake for a birthday this weekend and I thought it would taste great with a whipped frosting.

So I've been reading all day about whipped frostings, Bettercreme, Nutriwhip, etc.

Now I am left with questions. I'm not sure what to use. I live in Canada so getting bettercreme might be difficult.

For those of you that have used nutriwhip is it really the same? Do I just whip it per package directions? I tried searching for recipes on here but the recipe search engine doesn't return much.

What about the Wilton Stabilized Whipped Cream recipe? Has anyone used that?

I also found this recipe online....any comments on it's quality?

* 1 pint heavy cream, well chilled
* 1 cup sifted icing sugar
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
Using both a chilled bowl and chilled beaters, beat the cream until frothy.
Add the icing sugar and vanilla gradually while beating.
Whip until light and a thick enough consistency to spread as an icing.

Thanks so much for any advice you can give, after the hours of "whipped" reading I did all day, it's greatly appreciated!

Thanks
