Hi all i found a 10x3inch at a thrift store , it has the latch on the side and a removable bottom, is this type of pan ok to use for cakes, Thank's all

It sounds like a springform pan, which are typically used for cheesecakes.

Yup, that's a springform pan, meant for use with cheesecakes.

It could be used for 'regular' cakes IF you put foil in the open bottom then add the loose bottom plate. There might be slight leakage of the batter.
