I need ideas for what to use as the chicken in a cake looking like a pot of chicken noodle soup. I am using green jelly fruits cut for the celery, fondant circle cutouts for carrots, and fondant through the pasta roller for noodles. I plan on covering all ingredients with a tinted piping gel. I'm just afraid that it will end up looking bland with all the light colors of the chicken, noodles, and broth. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Have you decided how you are going to decorate the bowl. Chicken soup is going to look like chicken soup and it is not the most festive of soups (well at least in the look of it) If the bowl is decorated well there is no way that your cake will look bland. Also I would recommend using white for the noodles, pale yellow for the broth and a very light brown for the chicken. This will help distinguish them I think. I have not made a bowl of soup but that is what I would do. There are a couple cute pics in the galleries.
