I'm preparing a wedding cake with 6, 9, 12, & 15" tiers. The bride wants buttercream frosting and fondant fall leaves and pearls. There will not be quilting, just random pearls. Should I use graduated sizes of pearls or just make them all the same size. Thanks for giving your opinions.

For a wedding cake, I would just use the same size. But that is my opinion.

I like the look of the graduated sizes. I did one not too long ago with the different sized (and colored) pearls. As the pearls got larger, they also got a deeper pink. I used fondant pearls on buttercream.

I think the cake will look great either way. Although, I tend to graduate them with each tier.

Pretty cake Loucinda!
