Is there a way to make tiny (like may 1/8") sugar beads or circles? I can't remember who's avatar has a cupcake with pink sugar beads on top, but those are what I am tyring to make or purchase. Any help would be appreciated.

Mmmm, I think that is cake and dazzle. The cupcake with dots that look like wet drops of sugar?

These are what I need, but I am unsure how to make them. This pic is from CakeandDazzle 's avatar.

start w/ a recipe for hard sugar candy

won't need to make much at all

sugar boiled to hard ball or harder stage. ( http://www.exploratorium.edu/cooking/candy/sugar-stages.html )

add bit of red food coloring at start.

dip fork into hot sugar and then allow individual small drops to fall on parchment paper

allow to cool

peel off.

(messy!)

can also fling fork to make "angel hair"

if flung over a half round form can make a nest.
