I need a good recipe for Brown sugar buttercream. My IMBC recipe works well with brown sugar, but isn't stiff enough for good cupcake swirls. I need a stiffer recipe for some apple spice cupcakes. Can I adjust my IMBC somehow?
That's strange. When I make IMBC (incl br sgr) it makes gorgeous cupcake swirls. Maybe it needs more butter?
I use Shirley's method for IMBC and it makes wonderful cupcake swirls. Take a look at her recipe and compare to yours to see what is different. I just started using IMBC recently so I'm no expert on it.
try this recipe should work out for you but the key is using butter and when you add it
Thanks. Mine called for only 2 sticks of butter, so that's probably it. I'll add some more and see how that works out.
