I made some NFSC and used Antonias royal. I made different color of royal icing...but the black does not look right. I flooded the cookie last night and this morning it looked like this. There are patches in the cookie that look lighter than the rest of the cookie. Why?? Is it because it is black or maybe it is not done drying completley??
Yes...that's exactly it--you have to let it dry for the full 24 hours--especially if your layer of icing is pretty thick...
I use NFSC and Antonia's RI together all the time. If your icing is thick you will need the full 24 hours, if not more for them to set and look pretty.
